Small Group Mentoring Class: Expand Your Clinical Skill Set
Imagine how much more quickly you could develop your craniosacral skills if you had an experienced mentor who could shine a light on what you’re feeling and help you understand what to do with that information.
Imagine how much more effective you’d be if you were really skilled at (and comfortable with) customizing a session to the specific needs of your clients.
Let’s expand your clinical skills in a small group, hands-on setting so that you can return to your table with increased understanding and awareness of what you’re feeling and then translate that into a more effective session for your clients.
Ever notice that when you’re able to trust your skills, you interact with your clients from a more confident place? Wouldn’t it be nice to tap into that more consistently?
You know that your clients sense when you’re coming from this place of confidence and trust – at some level they get it – and it helps them relax. They feel more confident in your ability to help them. All of this nurtures an environment that lays the foundation for the kind of results you and your client are looking for. Good results means repeat clients, more referrals and more people on your table.
This class is an investment in you and the therapist you are becoming.
So, what does that actually look like during our 4 hours together? Table time (yes, that means you on the table) and hands on time along with brainstorming and diving into some relevant anatomy in-depth. And just to be crystal clear, this is NOT a techniques review class.
The focus of the October 9th class is on the jaw and pelvis. We will be focusing on these areas for the anatomy review as well as during our work at the table.
Here’s the scoop. You will:
- Treat each other in a multiple hands format while receiving input and feedback from me – take your questions from the hypothetical into a real life experience at the table
- Receive a 30 minute multiple-hand session - tap into your internal experience and bookmark an internal awareness of the work, this deepens your work with your clients exponentially – what you know from your own experience informs your work
- Brainstorm treatment strategies for client situations that are causing you to feel stuck or uncertain about what to do next
- Explore the anatomy of the jaw and pelvis so that these structures shift from a vague, foggy awareness under your hands to a clearer, more in-focus experience
We will also look at:
- how the jaw and pelvis mirror each other and the importance of working with both to effectively resolve restriction patterns
- dos and donts of working with people who have a history of dental trauma
- key questions to ask during intake that clue you in to problems with these areas
- homework strategies for your clients
- why working with the jaw can resolve long standing tension patterns
Facilitating small groups like this is one of my most favorite things to do and I have a lot of experience doing it. I’ve been specializing in CST for over 16 years. During that time, I’ve also led CST study groups, was a guest instructor teaching an introduction to CST for a massage school and taught an in-depth 4 day craniosacral course for health care practitioners around the country. As a result of all of this, I have a lot of useful, practical knowledge to offer you that will help shorten your learning curve. Also, one of my really-useful-to-you Superpowers is my ability to read the nuances of what’s going on under your hands and help you turn on the lights and connect the dots – so that you know and trust what you’re feeling. And in case this all sounds super serious and intense, I love to laugh and we will have fun, I promise.
Because I want to be sure that you get maximum support and feedback, I’m limiting this class to 6 people. If you’re ready to grow your expertise and live it more fully at your table, claim your seat and click the “Buy Now” button to register.
